Jacob Gurock: From Messaging to Mentorship
Next-gen advisor drives growth while building internal talent pipeline
In just over 12 months, Jacob Gurock, Wealth Advisor at Centurion Wealth Management, has made a meaningful, measurable impact on both growth and culture. As a wealth manager, he helped refine and simplify the firm’s messaging to prospective clients, clearly articulating Centurion’s value proposition in language that resonates with today’s investors. That work has strengthened business development efforts and positioned Jacob as a growth leader for the firm, with his team contributing significantly to net new clients and revenue.
Inside the firm, Jacob has emerged as a key internal leader. He led the 2025 intern program, creating structure, mentorship, and hands-on experience that improved the quality and consistency of the program while deepening the firm’s talent pipeline. He also plays an active role in mentoring the firm’s Financial Planning Associate, helping build technical skills, professional confidence, and overall team capacity.
Jacob is equally focused on improving how the firm delivers advice. He consistently fosters collaboration between the financial planning and tax preparation teams, ensuring clients receive coordinated, proactive guidance. By strengthening communication across disciplines, he has helped deliver a more seamless, efficient, and high-quality client experience that reflects clients’ full financial picture.
His leadership extends far beyond the office. Jacob serves as President of the Texas Tech University School of Financial Planning Alumni Advisory Board and as an advisory board member for the Texas Tech Center for Students in Addiction Recovery, where he established the Gurock Family Endowment to fund an annual scholarship in perpetuity.
He has served on the Board of Directors for the Financial Planning Association National Capital Area and volunteers with Night to Shine DC, supporting a prom experience for individuals with special needs.
