Collin Lyon: Rewiring Tech, Talent, and Team-Based Planning
Wealth strategy advisor enhances client experience and advances next-gen planning model
As a Wealth Strategy Advisor at Anderson Financial Strategies, Collin Lyon has led a firmwide overhaul of how technology supports planning, operations, and client service. He designed and executed a multi-system integration that brought the majority of the firm’s fintech stack into a unified data environment, coordinating stakeholders across planning, operations, and client-facing teams. The result: materially fewer planning errors, better data accessibility, and streamlined advisor workflows that free up more time for strategy and client conversations.
Collin also modernized the client journey. He led the upgrade of client portals and spearheaded development of a custom client-facing app, giving clients a clearer, more intuitive window into their financial lives. These enhancements elevated the digital experience while improving internal efficiency and consistency around onboarding and ongoing service.
On the planning side, Collin standardized how the estate planning team collaborates internally and with outside professionals. By creating a repeatable process for working with estate attorneys and CPAs, he reduced confusion, tightened implementation, and strengthened trust with local professional partners—contributing directly to new business and deeper client relationships.
His impact extends beyond the firm. Collin regularly provides pro bono planning to disabled veterans and military families, donating more than 30 hours of service in 2025 alone. He serves as an adjunct professor at Wright State University, teaching estate planning to seniors preparing for financial planning careers, with coursework centered on real-world application and interdisciplinary collaboration.
He also sits on his local FPA board, has held leadership roles with the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce and its Young Professionals Network, and leads and teaches within his church community.
