Hannah Forney: Guiding Families and Athletes Through Wealth Decisions
Planning expertise spans estate strategy, retirement and portfolio design
Hannah Forney, executive director and wealth advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, is building a reputation for delivering thoughtful, relationship-driven advice to multi-generational families and high-performing individuals, including professional athletes.
Forney’s approach centers on helping clients navigate complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence. She works closely with families across generations, focusing on long-term planning, estate and guardianship strategies, concentrated stock management, portfolio construction, retirement planning and cash flow optimization. Her goal is to simplify complexity—helping clients reduce stress, reclaim time and establish a clear financial framework aligned with their goals.
A defining element of her practice is her commitment to collaboration. Forney works closely with clients’ external tax and legal advisors, ensuring alignment across all aspects of a client’s financial life. Her ability to coordinate across disciplines helps maintain momentum on key initiatives while delivering a more integrated advisory experience.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2023, Forney spent nearly five years at First Republic Private Wealth Management and previously served as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) credential.
Outside the office, Forney is active in community and nonprofit leadership. She serves on the boards of Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) and Sport Oregon and supports initiatives such as Special Olympics.
A former collegiate athlete and team captain at the University of Colorado Boulder, Forney brings discipline, leadership and a client-first mindset to her advisory practice—positioning her as a next-generation leader in wealth management.
