Clark Tang: Tech-Driven Credit, Equity Visionary

Company:

Altimeter Capital

Clark Tang is a Partner at Altimeter Capital, where he leads investments in advanced technology sectors—including artificial intelligence, software infrastructure, and semiconductors—across both public and private markets.

Before joining Altimeter in 2021, he worked in growth equity at Valor Equity Partners, where he helped support major tech investments prior to their public exits. Earlier, he cut his teeth in technology investment banking at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse, giving him a strong foundation in underwriting, capital markets, and deal execution.

Under his leadership at Altimeter, Tang helped shape the firm’s strategic allocation toward transformative technology companies, including early, conviction-based investments in chipmakers and AI infrastructure firms—positions that have outperformed as compute demand surged.

He is being honored with the Connect Money Next Generation Alternative Investment Award for bridging public and private markets with a deep understanding of technology cycles, deploying capital into disruptive trends like AI and semiconductors, and delivering strong risk-adjusted returns through rigorous analysis and long-term vision.

His work helps channel institutional-level discipline into high-growth opportunity sectors, offering investors meaningful exposure to the next wave of technological innovation while maintaining structural integrity and operational excellence.
