Carlee Liederman: Redefining Investor Communications in Alternative Real Estate

Company:

BKM Capital Partners

Carlee Liederman, Senior Associate at BKM Capital Partners, earned a Connect Money Next Generation Alternative Investment award for her work transforming how a niche asset class is understood, communicated, and valued by institutional investors. Raised in a family that believed in real estate as a tool for wealth creation and community building, she turned early exposure into a career devoted to humanizing commercial real estate and elevating marketing from a support role to a strategic growth engine. At BKM Capital Partners, she blends analytics with design, turning complex data on small-bay industrial assets into clear narratives that drive investor conviction and differentiate the platform in a crowded market.

Carlee identified a critical gap: the absence of credible, third-party research on small-bay industrial. She responded by architecting an in-house research and content engine that now anchors BKM’s investor communications, PR, and media presence. She also built and scaled a video-based marketing strategy—short-form updates and educational clips tailored to time-constrained, digitally native allocators—creating a modern, high-engagement channel for client communication. These initiatives represent true “next gen” thinking: transparent, data-backed, visually rich, and built to scale across fundraising, investor reporting, and brand positioning.

Inside the firm, Carlee has helped shift BKM’s culture toward greater transparency, discipline, and client-centric storytelling. She has streamlined cross-department workflows, improved data accessibility, and helped shape quarterly investor calls and market commentary, becoming a trusted partner to senior leadership. Externally, she has launched a flagship thought leadership platform, tripled BKM’s research output, won a 2024 Graphic Design USA Award, earned a finalist spot in PR Daily’s 2025 Content Marketing Awards, secured exclusive placement in PERE, and helped BKM win more than 30 industry awards. As the youngest team member to lead BKM’s market commentary and a consistent cross-functional leader, Carlee exemplifies the inclusive, multidisciplinary, impact-driven mindset that is setting the standard for the next generation of alternative investment professionals.
