Alexis Sofyanos: A Rising Leader Advancing Capital, ESG, and Innovation in Multifamily Investing
Alexis Sofyanos joined TruAmerica Multifamily in March 2024 as Director of Investor Relations and has recently been promoted to Senior Director of Investment Management, where she plays a central role in capital formation, fundraising, and deepening relationships with both institutional and private investors. Based in the Chicago area, she supports TruAmerica’s capital markets, marketing, and ESG initiatives across the firm’s national multifamily platform—one of the largest value-add apartment investment firms in the country.
Sofyanos brings a rare blend of investment, ESG, and accounting expertise. Prior to joining TruAmerica, she served as vice president of business development at Esusu, partnering with multifamily owners and operators to scale resident-focused ESG strategies. She previously spent several years at Freddie Mac Multifamily in production and sales, overseeing substantial loan volumes across the Midwest and Texas before becoming Senior Director of Equitable Housing, where she led initiatives centered on ESG integration across the capital stack. She began her career at Deloitte as an external auditor and holds both a BBA and Master of Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, along with a CPA credential.
Sofyanos is a Connect Money Next Generation Alternative Investment Award winner for her ability to bridge institutional capital with innovative multifamily and alternative real estate strategies.
