Reifsnider Puts Education at the Center of Alternatives Sales
Southeast sales leader pairs tax-advantaged real estate expertise with client communications, a focus on community impact
Jack Reifsnider has expanded his responsibilities at Capital Square by helping financial advisors understand complex real estate investments, evaluate client suitability and communicate developments in the assets their clients own.
As regional vice president of Southeast sales, Reifsnider works with registered investment advisory firms and financial advisors across eight states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
His educational approach draws on expertise in Section 1031 Delaware statutory trusts and opportunity zone investments. He helps advisors assess how those structures fit within portfolios, connecting investment mechanics with client objectives and potential community benefits.
Reifsnider joined Capital Square in January 2025 as associate vice president of national RIA accounts. Within 12 months, he was promoted to regional vice president of Blue Ridge sales, covering North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. His territory subsequently expanded to eight states.
Since August 2025, he has presented at more than 12 events, reaching hundreds of advisors and industry participants. At the Restoring Hope and Building Opportunities National Summit in February 2026, he addressed policymakers and community leaders on how opportunity zone investments can support job creation, infrastructure improvements and economic mobility.
Within Capital Square, Reifsnider also works to strengthen communication between the firm, advisors and investors. Historically, investors generally received quarterly updates and occasional letters about material developments.
Working with investor relations, he coordinates the timing and context of investment updates around advisors’ preferred communication methods. Some want clients to receive information immediately; others prefer to discuss developments before the firm distributes its update. That coordination gives advisors an opportunity to prepare for questions and explain developments in the context of each client’s investment plan.
His ability to coordinate complex situations emerged when an advisor sought to serve a prospective client with more than $50 million in assets after a $115 million software company sale.
With significant tax considerations and a limited investment window, Reifsnider helped educate the advisor and investor about potential strategies available through real estate development offerings. He answered questions and coordinated internal and external participants.
The advisor secured the largest new client relationship of his career, and the investor invested with Capital Square.
Reifsnider’s community involvement includes four Habitat for Humanity builds while living in Denver. Since moving to Richmond, Virginia, he has helped raise money for Tad’s Kids, which supports families with children battling cancer, and participated in events for the Peavey Project, a nonprofit promoting mindfulness.
Previously at Transamerica, he served on its Internal Wholesaler Council and was one of two mutual fund internal wholesalers selected for the Wholesaler Institute.
His expanded territory, industry presentations and communication initiatives reflect a growing role in helping advisors translate alternative investment structures into informed client decisions.
