Retirement Systems founder is developing Quanto to connect advisor workflows while supporting financial education

Richard Corral, founder and CEO of Retirement Systems, started his first wealth management firm at 24. A decade later, he is betting that technology, not just access, will decide how many investors can use alternative investments.

Retirement Systems is a registered investment adviser serving more than 300 households, most of which have money in alternatives. Corral has long worked to bring strategies once reserved for wealthy investors to a broader range of clients. He says offering alternatives helped his firms win assets from larger competitors, including BlackRock.

His first firm reached $500 million in assets in less than five years.

Corral most recently commercialized Quanto, which the company calls an all-in-one agentic artificial intelligence operating system for financial advisors and wealth managers. The platform brings together more than 30 tools and automates more than 1,000 workflows, including the steps needed to place clients in alternative investments.finovate

Corral and his team built Quanto after growing frustrated with older technology providers. Advisors, he says, often juggle dozens of platforms whose data don’t connect, and that friction limits how many clients they can serve with alternatives.

Quanto presented at FinovateSpring 2026. The company says firms in its sales pipeline collectively oversee more than $30 trillion in assets. They range from firms managing trillions of dollars to much smaller practices. According to Corral, those firms, whether they already use alternatives or want to expand into them, say the platform improves their efficiency and frees capacity to offer alternatives to more clients.

Corral has also worked outside traditional wealth management. He helped lead the launch of the Clouty Tune ETF, a music-focused exchange-traded fund that began trading on the New York Stock Exchange in 2023 under the ticker TUNE. He was the lead investor and also worked on regulatory, compliance, research and market-maker relationships.cnbc

He has discussed financial literacy and alternative investments with NBC, Univision and other outlets.

Corral says he has often been the youngest founder, and one of the few minority executives, at industry conferences such as those hosted by Markets Group and Titan Investors.

He is president of La Familia, a nonprofit that builds a Latino community within venture capital. He is also the fintech industry champion at 1871, a Chicago technology incubator. Through both groups, he has organized dinners, pitch competitions, art gallery events and other networking gatherings for the alternatives community.

In Corral’s view, the next phase of alternatives depends on removing the operational burden that keeps advisors from offering them widely. By automating the work behind each allocation, he aims to make it practical for firms of every size to bring alternatives to more of their clients.
