Desrosiers Expands the Firm’s Global Investor Base
IR principal co-leads fundraising for the $22.2B middle-market private investment firm
Lauren Desrosiers is helping broaden Charlesbank’s institutional investor relationships while co-leading fundraising efforts, connecting the firm’s capital formation strategy with its engagement across international markets.
As principal in investor relations, Desrosiers works on fundraising strategy, messaging and materials for limited partners. Her responsibilities include explaining Charlesbank’s middle-market investment approach and supporting relationships with a growing institutional investor base.
During her tenure, she has helped build the investor relations team and expand connections with new institutional accounts. That work has extended across Europe, Latin America and Australia, broadening the geographic reach of the firm’s fundraising and investor engagement.
Her role combines developing relationships with shaping how the firm presents its strategy. She contributes to the materials and messaging used in limited partner discussions, helping communicate the investment approach to institutions evaluating or maintaining a relationship with Charlesbank.
Desrosiers joined Charlesbank in 2020 after working at PwC, where her experience included financial services engagements focused on private equity clients. Charlesbank was among the firms she worked with before joining its investor relations team.
Her career at PwC began with an internship while she was in college. She joined the firm full time in 2016, gaining experience with the financial and operational considerations facing private equity businesses.
Desrosiers earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and a master’s degree in financial planning from Bentley University. She also holds the certified public accountant designation.
That accounting and financial planning background complements her current responsibilities in capital formation and institutional communication, providing a foundation for discussing the firm’s strategy with investors.
A Connecticut native, Desrosiers lives in Boston’s South End with her fiancé and their ragdoll cat. Her interests include spinning, yoga and gardening.
At Charlesbank, her work centers on supporting fundraising and maintaining institutional engagement as the firm develops relationships across a wider range of accounts and geographies.
