Perennial Financial Services

Has grown advisor headcount 6x, AUM 15x in last seven years

Member of Board of Directors, Executive Committee of Palisades Chamber of Commerce

John Petrick, senior managing director at Perennial Financial Services, has led the parabolic growth of the firm, growing advisor headcount 6x and assets under management 15x in just the last seven years. This has led to Perennial advisors located from just California and Arizona in 2017 to now having Perennial advisors in California, Arizona, Idaho, Florida, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New York.

In 2024, he led Perennial to being named one of “America’s Top Financial Advisory Firms 2025” by Newsweek. The award was determined by analyzing over 15,000 financial advisories registered with the SEC and scored them based on the following factors: asset performance, client performance, adviser expertise and client ratio, breadth of service offerings and conflicts of interest. Additionally, he has been honored as a FIVE STAR Wealth Manager for 14 consecutive years, starting in 2012.

He served as the President of the Palisades Chamber of Commerce from 2010 to 2011 and has remained a dedicated member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for 14 years. Beyond his leadership in business development, he has contributed to community events and public service initiatives, including serving as First VP of the Palisades Americanism Parade Association (P.A.P.A.), helping to organize one of the area’s most celebrated patriotic events.

If he could leave a lasting impact on the industry, it would be to create an environment where advisors can not only establish their careers but truly flourish. His vision is to help advisors find a firm that aligns with their values, provides the resources they need to grow, and fosters both professional and personal success. By championing transparency, support, and a culture of collaboration, he strives to redefine what it means for advisors to build a sustainable and fulfilling future in the industry.

Receiving this award would serve as a testament to his dedication to the financial industry and his commitment to advisor success. It would not only reinforce his reputation as a leader who prioritizes growth, innovation, and advisor well-being but also inspire others to follow his example. By setting a high standard for leadership and advocacy, his recognition would encourage firms and industry professionals to create environments where advisors can thrive. Professionally, this honor would further solidify his influence, opening new opportunities to expand his impact and continue shaping the future of the industry.

These are just a few reasons John Petrick was chosen as a recipient of Connect Money’s 2025 Next Generation Wealth Management Award. Now in its second year, the Next Generation Awards honor emerging leaders who are poised to significantly shape the future of the wealth management industry.
