Resilient Wealth Management

Has expanded client base to nearly 1,000 households

Volunteers for Center for Financial Planning as Diversity Advisory Group member

Brandon Dixon-James, owner, partner and principal of Resilient Wealth Management has played an important role in special projects, including organizing an annual Thanksgiving food drive within his firm which allows the clients and employees to participate by donating items to support a larger food drive for communities in need and also allowing the employees to serve during this food drive.

He has also organized the annual Shred Event, allowing the clients and community to safely discard personal information. He also led the annual Toy & Coat Drive in which items are collected from the clients and communities and given to a local charter school that supports the underserved kids in that community.

His greatest career accomplishment was establishing his firm as a resource to the community as well as to his clients – his client reach has expanded to almost 1,000 households. He also has built and empowered a team to help carry out the vision.

The community is his passion and in so many different ways. He’s passionate about financial literacy to all communities, about being an inspiration/mentor to others who are looking to become entrepreneurs, about volunteering in many different capacities including being a crossing guard at his kid’s school.

If it’s only one mark on the industry, it would be to be more inclusive. He volunteers a lot of time towards those efforts including CFP Center for Financial Planning as a Diversity Advisory Group member, even looking to establish an inclusive group within his broker-dealer. He is passionate about making this industry a place for everyone.

The nominee wants to be an influence that success comes in different forms and although our industry celebrates the numbers, success is personal. To make a living is one thing but to turn around and use those resources to make a difference for other people is success. It’s about building a community.

These are just a few reasons Brandon Dixon-James was chosen as a recipient of Connect Money’s 2025 Next Generation Wealth Management Award. Now in its second year, the Next Generation Awards honor emerging leaders who are poised to significantly shape the future of the wealth management industry.
