Voya Financial Expands Private Asset Capabilities Within Advisor Managed Accounts Platform
Voya Financial is expanding access to private market investments within its Advisor Managed Accounts (AMA) program, allowing registered investment advisors to incorporate private assets into professionally managed retirement portfolios for defined contribution plan participants.
The enhancement builds on Voya’s Primary Plus platform, introduced to enable third-party RIAs offering managed account programs through Voya to provide investment options beyond a retirement plan’s core lineup. The expanded capabilities are designed to help participants diversify their portfolios while maintaining personalized, professionally managed investment strategies.
Initially launched in 2021, the Advisor Managed Accounts program provides customized portfolio management tailored to each participant’s financial goals, risk tolerance and retirement timeline.
“This solution gives plan sponsors a way to offer employees access to private markets through a program combining education, professional management, ongoing account oversight and our focus on designing solutions that support long-term outcomes,” said Amy Vaillancourt, president of Retirement at Voya Financial.
At launch, participating RIAs will have access to Voya Investment Management’s recently introduced V-ALT collective investment trusts, along with Blue Owl’s Alternative Credit Collective Investment Trust and Real Estate Net Lease Collective Investment Trust.
Voya said it plans to broaden the platform over time by adding additional asset managers and alternative investment strategies while maintaining a disciplined approach to portfolio construction and participant outcomes.
