Opto Launches Private Markets Investing Tool
Opto Investments, a wealthtech platform for private markets, has launched its new Planner tool, which aims to simplify long-term private markets investing by helping advisors determine appropriate target private markets allocations and develop an investment pacing strategy suited to each client’s needs.
Opto’s platform enables advisors to select target allocations by leveraging their firm’s model portfolios through custom private funds crafted in partnership with Opto, create a pacing plan to reach the target and then deliver a proposal to clients that communicates the investment plan.
“The Planner enables advisors to clearly demonstrate to clients how private markets can help them achieve their goals within the context of their total portfolio – and then lays out the steps to get there,” said Eytan Schindelhaim, head of product at Opto Investments.
Co-founded by Joe Lonsdale (also founder of Addepar and co-founder of Palantir) and five others, Opto’s platform helps advisors guide clients through the entire private markets investment lifecycle. The platform includes investment selection and diligence collaboration, and portfolio construction tools.
