Carson Group Acquires $400M Wisconsin Firm
Carson Group has acquired Harbor Wealth Management, which oversees $396 million in assets under management.
Green Bay, WI-based Harbor Wealth Management, founded in 2010, is led by partners and senior wealth advisors Eric Heus and Brent Polzin.
The firm initially began its affiliation with Carson Group as an independent office in 2016 and will rebrand as a Carson Wealth office, as part of the acquisition, Carson said.
Heus and Polzin founded Harbor Wealth Management after working at Equitable Advisors, formerly known as AXA Advisors.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“Eric and Brent have been a part of the Carson community for nearly a decade, and this next step reflects a shared belief that a deep commitment to serving clients, investing in technology and growing long-term partnerships is essential to succeeding in the wealth management business,” Burt White, CEO of Carson Group, said. “This partnership will empower them to dedicate more time to their clients, enhance generational wealth planning and foster the growth of future leaders within their organization.”
Earlier this month, Carson Group added Walla Walla, WA-based Buckley Investment Group, which oversees about $120 million in assets under management, and expands the firm’s presence in Washington state.
Omaha, NE-based Carson Group, founded in 1983, oversees more than $57 billion in assets for more than 60,000 families, the firm said.
