Serial RIA Acquirer Wealth Enhancement Group Buys $273M Washington Wealth Advisors

The buying spree continues for Wealth Enhancement Group (WEG) with the acquisition of Falls Church, VA-based Washington Wealth Advisors, a $273 million independent registered investment advisor (RIA). 

Led by Founder and Managing Partner Maura Schauss, CFP® and Managing Partner Todd Youngdahl, CFP®, Washington Wealth focuses on financial planning, investment management, retirement planning, education planning and tax saving strategies. 

Minneapolis-based WEG has added more than $1 billion to its assets under management in just under two months with the acquisitions of Legacy Financial Planning, a hybrid RIA with over $371 million in assets; BFS Wealth Management, another hybrid RIA with over $523 million in assets and Ginsburg Financial Advisors, Inc., an Independent RIA with over $237 million in assets. 

With the addition of previously announced acquisitions and the acquisition of Washington Wealth Advisors, Wealth Enhancement Group has more than $60.8 billion in client, advisory, trust and brokerage assets.   

Led by chief executive Jeff Dekko, WEG is backed by private equity firms TA Associates and Onex Corporation.
