YCharts Adds Hamilton Lane Private Markets Benchmarks for Advisors
YCharts has introduced private markets benchmark data from Hamilton Lane, aiming to give financial advisors more meaningful tools to analyze and explain private market exposures within client portfolios.
The addition is designed to support advisors who rely on proxy tickers or model portfolios to represent private market allocations—an area where traditional public-market benchmarks often fall short. By integrating Hamilton Lane’s data, YCharts is providing advisors with private markets–specific points of comparison that better reflect the underlying asset class behavior.
“With the addition of Hamilton Lane benchmarks, we’re giving advisors the context they need to understand and explain private markets investments within client portfolios,” said Caleb Eplett, chief product officer at YCharts.
Hamilton Lane’s benchmarks are built from proprietary fund- and deal-level data derived from limited partner cash flows across global markets. Coverage spans private equity, private credit, and private real assets, with transparency across strategies, vintage years, and geographies.
Hamilton Lane oversees approximately $1.0 trillion in assets under management and supervision as of December 31, 2025, including $146.1 billion in discretionary assets and $871.5 billion in non-discretionary assets.
