
Westview Capital Closes Fifth Growth Equity Fund with $1B
WestView Capital Partners has closed its latest fund, WestView Capital Partners V, on its hard cap and target of $1bn. The private equity firm has now raised $2.7bn since its inception in 2004.
The fund will continue to focus on the Boston-based private equity firm’s strategy of making minority and majority investments in growth companies that are typically founder owned and managed and have not previously raised institutional capital.
WestView will target investments in business services, IT services, healthcare technology and outsourcing, software, and growth industrial companies.
Since its launch, the firm has invested in 54 companies and has had 32 realizations representing over $2.2bn in proceeds.
WestView invests $20mn to $100mn in companies with revenue of at least $10mn and operating profits between $3mn and $25mn.
