  • Carlyle has acquired a majority stake in Anthesis, a global pure-play sustainability advisory and services firm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Carlyle will be investing alongside Anthesis’ employee shareholders, with existing shareholder Palatine reinvesting for a minority stake. 
  • Visa has agreed to purchase Pismo, an issuer processing and core banking platform with operations in Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe for $1 billion in cash. Visa will be positioned to provide core banking and issuer processing capabilities across debit, prepaid, credit and commercial cards for clients via cloud-native APIs. Pismo’s platform will also help Visa in providing support and connectivity for emerging payment rails. 
  • ArtesRx LLC, an affiliate of private equity firm Flexpoint Ford, has made a strategic growth investment in Parkview Health Services, a provider of pharmacy services. The company will remain headquartered in Amherst, NY, and will continue to be led by CEO Paul O’Leary and the current management team. 
  • BCM One, a portfolio company of Thompson Street Capital Partners, has acquired Pure IP, a global provider of cloud-based services through Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex and Zoom. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.  
  • Trinity Hunt Partners, a Dallas-based growth-oriented private equity firm, has acquired REQ, a digital marketing and advertising company founded in 2008. REQ looks to deliver a suite of services and technologies to brands in technology, healthcare, real estate, hospitality, retail and finance. 
  • SourceCode, a provider of IT systems for AI infrastructure and a portfolio company of Cerberus Capital Management LP, has bought Boston Limited, a server and storage services company for the growth in business around data, media and AI as well as traditional IT workloads. 
  • Sandton Capital Partner, a private equity manager, has acquired Vindara, a company that develops seeds designed for vertical indoor farm environments as well as other controlled environmental agriculture (CEA) farming methods. 
  • NewSpring, a family of private equity strategies, through its NewSpring Holdings, has acquired Underdog Venture Team to establish Underdog & Co., a marketing services firm for the sports, media, entertainment and non-profit sectors. Dan Mannix, co-founder of Underdog Venture Team, will serve as co-founder and managing partner of Underdog & Co. 
  • Palm Tree, an M&A advisor that provides integrated investment banking, transaction support and strategic finance services for private equity firms and other businesses, named Derek J. Alderton vice chairman. Alderton has media- and cross-border transaction-focused M&A advisory experience at Macquarie Bank and McKinsey & Co. He is currently the director of the Anderson Strategy Group for UCLA Anderson’s MBA Program. 
  • Elevate Patient Financial Solutions Inc., a provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management services for hospitals, health systems and healthcare providers and a portfolio company of Edgewater Growth Capital Partners IV, has acquired Revenue Masters LLC.
