- Heather Bellini was appointed president, CFO, leading finance, legal, HR and business operations, for Motive Partners and Clearlake Capital Group-backed InvestCloud, a global software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider in digital transformation for the wealth management industry. She served as a partner, managing director at Goldman Sachs for nearly 10 years before joining cybersecurity software company Deep Instinct as CFO in 2021.
- Jorge Mora was named co-managing partner for Jacmel Growth Partners, renamed to Jacmel Partners, a private investment firm focused on mid-sized companies. From 2011 to 2016, he was VC, senior managing director and head of US financial sponsor coverage at Macquarie Group.
- Michael Trimberger was named CFO of William Blair, a global boutique firm with experience in investment banking, management and private wealth management. He replaces Jon Zindel, who has transitioned to a senior advisory role. Trimberger is responsible for the global accounting, finance and tax teams.
- Michael Binetti was hired by Evercore ISI (International Strategy & Investment) as a senior managing director covering department stores and specialty retail. He was most recently a managing director at Credit Suisse, where he covered retail and digital commerce for over five years. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at UBS as an equity analyst in the retail group.
- Rafia Hasan was named CIO of $5.6B RIA Perigon Wealth Management. Hasan replaces Stephen Colavito, who left in May to take a CIO job at San Blas Securities. She was most recently CIO at Wipfli Financial Advisors, a $5B RIA that Creative Planning acquired last year. Prior to Wipfli, Hasan spent about two years at asset manager Dimensional Fund Advisors.
- FactSet, a global financial digital platform and enterprise services provider, has bought Idaciti Inc., a data structuring and collection technology company.
- Vector Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity firm focused on investments in technology businesses with over $4B of capital across its private equity and credit strategies, acquired Riverbed Technology, an IT enterprise solutions provider for global organizations. In connection with the close, Dave Donatelli has been named CEO.
- Suffolk Technologies, a Boston-based institutional venture capital firm affiliated with Suffolk, the $5B national construction firm, closed its inaugural fund with $110M in commitments. Led by Managing Partners Puneet Mahajan, Jit Kee Chin and Wan Li Zhu, the fund will invest in early-to-growth stage companies across construction technology and property technology.
- First Citizens Bank and Koch Disruptive Technologies led a $132M funding round for Silo, a San Francisco-based provider of financial services and technology solutions for the food supply chain. Other investors included existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, Haystack Capital, Tribe Capital, Collate Capital and Moore Capital.
- Carnelian Energy Capital Management LP, a North American-focused investment firm focused on the energy sector, has partnered with and made an equity commitment to Alta Mar Energy LLC, an upstream company focused on non-operated investments in the US Gulf of Mexico. Alta Mar is led by Will Sims, Thomas Kastner, Rowland Burno and Ben Heller.
