Wealth Enhancement Adds Over $1B in Assets with Oregon, Maine RIA Acquisitions

Wealth Enhancement Group has boosted its total client assets to more than $103.2 billion with the acquisitions of $673 million Lake Oswego, OR-based Northwest Investment Counselors and $409 million Maine-based VanceGray Wealth Management, Inc. The acquisitions both closed on December 31, 2024, and marked the firm’s 21st and 22nd, respectively, closed transaction of 2024.

Northwest Investment Counselors is an eight-member team established in 1998, directed by advisors Mark Scarlett, Matthew Roehr, and Michelle Castano Garcia. The firm primarily serves clients in Oregon and Washington, providing investment management, trust services, and financial planning.

VanceGray Wealth Management, founded in 2006 and led by President Vance Gray, offers investment and asset management, retirement planning, customized tax strategies, and comprehensive estate planning for retirees, seniors, small business owners, and individuals.

The latest deals follow Minneapolis-based Wealth Enhancement’s recent announcement that it bought Danison & Associates, an independent RIA in Columbus, OH managing more than $82 million in assets. The firm also announced it acquired The Scribner Team, a Boston-based hybrid investment advisory firm that oversees more than $111 million in client assets.

As of December 31, Wealth Enhancement manages $102.1 billion in client assets.

Dan Erichson and Matt Kempler of Houlihan Lokey served as financial advisors to Northwest Investment Counselors. MarshBerry represented VanceGray Wealth Management.
