
VRGL Raises New Funding for Wealth Management Data Platform
VRGL announced the completion of a strategic funding round led by venture capital firms and current investors FINTOP Capital and MissionOG, with participation from Northwestern Mutual, Flyover Capital, and Fin Capital.
VRGL, a platform that provides data and analytics to wealth management organizations, did not disclose the amount of capital raised. The company intends to use the new funds to continue executing on its “client acquisition and investment proposal management solution,” expand product offerings, and support market expansion.
Founded in 2021 by CEO Josh Smith and COO Josh Zimmerman, the company has increased its customer base by more than 700% since August 2022. Its clientele includes Dynasty Financial Partners, Ritholtz Wealth Management, Sequoia Financial Group, and Steward Partners.
“This round will allow us to accelerate our go-to-market and to continue enhancing our investment proposal platform and operational efficiency,” said Smith.
In August 2022, the company raised $15 million in a Series A round led by MissionOG and FINTOP Capital. Founding investors Sallyport Investments and Checchi Capital also participated. The round also included investments from other venture firms and strategic partners including Dynasty Financial Partners, Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures, Flyover Capital, Fin Capital, and The Compound Capital.
