Vantage Data Centers Raises $5B in Green Loans to Fuel North American Expansion
Vantage Data Centers has secured $5 billion in incremental green loan financings to support the expansion of its North America platform. The funding includes a $2.25 billion construction loan for its New Albany, OH, campus, as well as a $2.75 billion upsizing of an existing $3 billion corporate credit facility.
The 70-acre Ohio site will house three pre-leased hyperscale data centers with a total capacity of 192MW across 1.5 million square feet. The first facility is expected to be operational by December 2025. The additional $2.75 billion will support land acquisitions and future data center developments across North America. Both financing deals were secured under Vantage’s Green Finance Framework.
The Ohio campus financing was led by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) and Société Générale. This construction loan is notable for being among the first in the data center industry to achieve private investment-grade ratings from two leading credit agencies. The corporate facility expansion was arranged by a bank syndicate including Wells Fargo Securities, TD Securities, Truist Securities, and Scotiabank.
Rich Cosgray, SVP of global capital markets at Vantage, said: “As the need for digital infrastructure continues to accelerate, Vantage remains focused on raising capital to support the rapid expansion of our North America platform.” He emphasized that these financings demonstrate Vantage’s ability to secure sustainable and innovative funding vehicles to meet market demand.
Vantage’s North American platform now includes 12 campuses, with the company having raised nearly $18 billion in debt and equity since January 2024 to support global growth.
