USEDC Execs Launch Private Real Estate Company

The investment team steering U.S. Energy Development Corporation (USEDC) has unveiled U.S. Property Development LLC, a new private real estate investment firm. This venture will concentrate on opportunities in industrial, self-storage, and commercial real estate across the U.S.

Though separate from USEDC’s oil and gas activities, the new company capitalizes on the team’s deep expertise in asset-based investments and utilizes operational efficiencies gained through a common back-office system.

“Our team at U.S. Property Development brings a wealth of expertise in identifying and developing real estate with strong revenue potential,” said Matthew Iak, CEO of U.S. Property Development. “We invest our own capital first, inviting partners to join us and invest alongside us.”

Headquartered in Fort Worth, TX, the firm’s portfolio features a $12 million investment in a five-building automotive auction complex, covering 92,037 square feet across a 39-acre plot in Springfield, MO. Additionally, U.S. Property Development has ventured into two self-storage projects: a 23,422 square-foot facility with 154 units in Lewiston, NY, and a 76,850 square-foot development in Hamburg, NY, which is currently under construction and will provide 542 units when finished.

The senior leadership at U.S. Property comprises executives from USEDC, headed by Iak. Alongside him are Brandon Standifird, serving as CFO; Todd Van Pelt, acting as VP of product development; and Jordan Jayson, who chairs the advisory board.
