UBS Elevates Lisa Golia to Lead U.S. Wealth Field Force
UBS has promoted Lisa Golia to head of its U.S. wealth management field force, effective March 1, according to an internal memo reviewed by Connect Money.
Golia, who has served as COO of the U.S. wealth unit for the past two years, will now report to Mike Camacho, head of U.S. wealth management, and assume responsibility for advisor leadership, recruitment, retention, and compensation. She previously spent more than two decades at Morgan Stanley before joining UBS.
The leadership shift allows Camacho to concentrate on broader strategic priorities, including expanding UBS’s U.S. bank, which has received conditional regulatory approval, and cultivating new sources of client assets.
Under the new structure, five regional directors — Chris DiMuria, Julie Fox, Rick Gonzalez, Lauren Gorsche and Jon Ramey — will report directly to Golia. John Mathews, head of private wealth management, and Bill Carroll, head of high-net-worth strategy, will also fall under her oversight. Ben Firestein, who recently joined from Morgan Stanley, will lead national sales, advisor development and recruiting, reporting to Golia, while Len Golub will continue to head the Wealth Advice Center serving mass-affluent clients.
John Vander Zee will succeed Golia as COO.
