U.S. Bancorp Advisors Expands Wealth Platform to Target Emerging Affluent Investors
U.S. Bancorp is expanding its wealth management offering with a new suite of services designed to support individuals who are beginning their investing journey or building wealth for the first time.
U.S. Bancorp Advisors, the firm’s registered investment advisor and affiliate of U.S. Bank, introduced a set of capabilities that includes a team-based investment advisory service for clients with at least $25,000, an enhanced self-directed brokerage platform with no minimum investment, and a new digital platform integrating banking and investing.
The initiative reflects a broader push across the wealth industry to serve the emerging affluent segment, offering flexible engagement models that allow clients to invest independently, work with advisors, or combine both approaches.
“With this suite of capabilities, we’re meeting people where they are — independently, with an advisor, or a blend of both,” said Scott Ford, President of Wealth Management at U.S. Bank. “By combining transparent, low-cost tools with our research and expertise, we’re helping customers link their investments to life goals and take informed steps at every stage.”
To lead the effort, U.S. Bancorp named Ryan K. Nelson president of emerging affluent wealth management. Nelson brings more than 30 years of financial services experience, most recently serving as U.S. Bank’s east regional executive for private wealth management. He previously held leadership roles at Zions Bank, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo and Fidelity Investments.
“I’m excited to lead this work and expand access to expert guidance and modern tools for investors,” Nelson said. “We’re making investing easier to start and simpler to sustain.”
