Turning Rock Provides $30M Financing to LPL Affiliate Silverleaf
Turning Rock Partners, a NY-based private investment firm, has extended $30 million in senior debt financing to Silverleaf Wealth Management, an Omaha, NE-based firm tied to Gladstone Wealth Partners, a major LPL Financial enterprise.
Silverleaf, founded by Justin Gibson in 2015 after leaving Waddell & Reed, manages approximately $1 billion, per its website, under Gladstone, an LPL affiliate with over 175 advisors nationwide. The firm provides financial and investment management, tax planning, estate planning and other services. The capital will fund Silverleaf’s M&A push and service expansion.
TRP, targeting lower middle-market firms, sees wealth management consolidation as ripe. “Through this investment, TRP has the opportunity to back a strong founder in an industry ripe for consolidation providing valuable financial services to its clients,” said John Hamilton, COO of Turning Rock Partners.
Turning Rock Partners was advised on the transaction by Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP for legal, Bennett Thrasher for accounting, Lockton Companies for insurance, and Silver provided additional services. Jim DiPisa served as senior advisor on this transaction.
