TPG Angelo Gordon Raises Nearly $2.5B for Europe Real Estate Strategy

TPG Angelo Gordon has closed nearly $2.5 billion for its Europe Real Estate strategy, marking its largest European fund to date. The firm’s latest vehicle, TPG AG Europe Realty Fund IV, secured $2.27 billion in capital commitments along with an additional $214 million in co-invest capital, exceeding its $200 million target by 50% (excluding co-invest capital).

Fund IV will target all property types across the UK, Western Europe, and the Nordics, with a focus on off-market investment opportunities and sub-performing assets across the value-add spectrum.

Since its 2009 launch, TPG AG Europe Real Estate has acquired more than 258 properties valued at $7.2 billion, with total investments, including asset-level expenditures, surpassing $10 billion.

Fund IV attracted a diverse LP base, including public and corporate pensions, sovereign wealth funds, and endowments. Nearly 60% of Fund III investors recommitted to Fund IV. Commitments by region: 53% from the Middle East & APAC, 39% from North America, 8% from Europe.

The fund is approximately 20% committed, with notable acquisitions including: A large portfolio of single-family and multi-family properties in the Netherlands. A 72,000 sqm light industrial redevelopment site in Paris. Ongoing aggregation of UK Industrial Outdoor Storage assets.

“We believe this market environment is exactly where we thrive—valuation stress, distress, and structural shifts in supply and demand are generating compelling opportunities for investors with capital and experience,” said Anuj Mittal, head of TPG Angelo Gordon’s Europe Real Estate.

TPG Angelo Gordon has been investing in commercial real estate since 1993 and has acquired over $45 billion in properties worldwide.
