The Wealth Consulting Group Merges with $2B Hybrid RIA V Wealth
The Wealth Consulting Group, an LPL Financial–affiliated hybrid registered investment advisor, has merged with V Wealth, another LPL-affiliated hybrid RIA overseeing $2 billion in assets.
The firms did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
The V Wealth team was drawn to WCG’s platform offerings, which include financial planning, M&A support and solutions for office space and practice management.
A total of 43 investment advisors from Overland Park, KS–based V Wealth have joined WCG’s wealth management platform. V Wealth was founded in 2009 and is led by Tom Blumer, Brett Lange and Dan Cherra.
“We believe that WCG’s unique value proposition combining the financial planning support to advisors and flexible separate account investment management strategies will help the former V Wealth advisors offer more value to their clients,” said Jimmy Lee, CEO and Founder of WCG.
The merger brings Las Vegas-based WCG’s total assets under advisement to over $7 billion and over $5 billion of assets under management. The RIA also custodies some of its assets with Charles Schwab, Schwab-owned TD Ameritrade and Fidelity.
