T. Rowe Price Strengthens Advisor Distribution to Support FAs
Investment manager T. Rowe Price is amplifying its advisory distribution to bolster its support for financial advisors and the broader wealth channel.
The firm aims to offer access to various solutions including its tax-optimized drawdown strategies; customizable resources, including portfolio construction solutions and custom model portfolios.
T. Rowe Price also stated that it plans to expand its onboarding efforts by adding more than 50 new client-facing roles across broker/dealer and RIA field sales, as well as to its ETF, alternatives and model portfolio specialist teams. The firm aims to have the positions filled by the end of the first quarter next year.
“Financial advisors are operating in a rapidly changing marketplace,” said Kevin Collins, head of U.S. Intermediaries at T. Rowe Price. “They’re helping clients navigate more complex markets, extreme equity market concentration, and a dynamic interest rate environment, all against clients’ growing needs for more tailored wealth solutions.
The firm has also added two executives to its new strategy-focused national account leadership team within the wealth management channel. Kevin Johnson has joined as head of wealth research, and Ryan Bauer has joined as head of RIA enterprise national accounts, both reporting to Annie Brown, who serves as the co-Head of Wealth Management within the U.S. Intermediaries division.
In April, T. Rowe Price teamed up with 55ip, a subsidiary of J.P. Morgan, to expand its investment platform, which enables advisors to build tax-efficient custom model portfolios.
