Steward Partners Expands Legacy Division with $481M Longbridge Wealth Advisors Acquisition
Steward Partners, a hybrid registered investment advisor, has acquired Longbridge Wealth Advisors, adding $481 million in client assets to its Legacy Division. The acquisition expands Steward Partners’ footprint in Ohio, establishing a North Canton presence and enhancing the firm’s capabilities in retirement-focused financial planning.
Led by partners Jack Elgin and Neven Zelich, the 10-member Longbridge team includes three additional advisors with a strong history of serving individuals at or near retirement. “Our team’s approach has always centered around helping clients navigate their path with clarity,” said Elgin. “In Steward Partners, we saw a like-minded firm that shares our commitment to long-term relationships, high standards, and doing right by the people we serve.”
Scott Danner, EVP & head of Legacy at Steward Partners, called the team “a natural extension” of the firm’s reach in the greater Ohio market, noting that their reputation and relationships will help Steward Partners “scale with integrity.”
The Legacy Division provides established advisory teams with succession and continuity solutions that preserve their brand and client relationships while granting access to national-scale resources and operational support.
The deal follows a string of acquisitions for the New York-based RIA, which reported managing over $44 billion in assets as of July 2025. Last month, Steward Partners acquired Consilium Wealth Management in Danville, CA, with $1.1 billion in assets, and in November added Riverdale, NJ-based Mainstay Wealth Management, which manages $850 million in assets.
