Steward Partners Adds $1.1B RIA
Steward Partners, a hybrid registered investment advisor, has acquired a Danville, CA-based registered investment advisor firm, which manages approximately $1.1 billion in client assets.
Consilium Wealth Management, founded in 2010, offers “tailored” financial planning, investment management, tax solutions, and estate planning to high-net-worth individuals and families.
The firm also has an affiliate company, Simplex Wealth Management, founded in 2011, and provides investment management, financial planning, and retirement planning to high-net-worth individuals, retirees, and families, according to their respective websites.
Simplex Wealth Management manages approximately $258 million in client assets for 769 accounts, according to its latest Form ADV, filed in February.
Consilium Wealth Management is led by president and CEO John Seo and is joined by VP Tracy Jao. The duo brings about 50 years of combined experience to Steward Partners, the firm said.
“This isn’t about transactions—it’s about relationships,” Scott Danner, EVP & head of legacy at Steward Partners. “We’re intentionally designing a culture where top-tier advisors identify the value in joining us because of the infrastructure, support, and future-forward vision we offer. John’s expertise and the high-caliber clients he serves are a testament to the momentum we’ve built, and adding this incredible team accelerates that trajectory even further.”
In November, Steward Partners added Riverdale, NJ-based Mainstay Wealth Management, which manages $850 million in assets.
Steward Partners’ latest addition will propel the firm’s expansion for its Legacy division, as the firm seeks to grant financial advisors more support, resources, and a “flexible framework” to “leverage the scale” as advisors begin succession planning.
New York-based Steward Partners oversees approximately $24 billion in assets under management, according to its latest Form ADV, filed in June.
