SoFi Adds Three Private Markets Funds to Investment Platform

SoFi Technologies has added three private markets funds from CAZ Investments and AngelList Asset Management, expanding the alternative investment options available through its digital financial services platform.

The funds provide exposure to strategies spanning artificial intelligence, fintech, health care, defense and other sectors. Underlying investments may include companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Anduril, although portfolio holdings will vary.

The CAZ GP Stakes Fund invests primarily in alternative asset management firms across private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, commodities and venture capital.

The CAZ Strategic Opportunities Fund provides broader exposure across private equity, private credit, real estate, real assets and liquid investments.

AngelList’s USVC Venture Capital Access Fund invests in venture funds and private growth companies, including opportunities connected to the AngelList platform.

“SoFi is making alternative investing more accessible for investors looking to diversify their portfolios, but who have previously faced barriers to entry,” CEO Anthony Noto said.

Minimum investments begin at $500 for the USVC fund and $2,500 for the CAZ funds. The vehicles intend to offer periodic, limited share repurchases, although investors should not expect the daily liquidity available from publicly traded securities.

SoFi will provide educational materials and reporting through its app to help members evaluate the funds’ structures and risks.

The company has expanded its private markets lineup over the past year with funds from Cashmere, ARK Invest and Liberty Street Advisors.
