SEI Expands Tax Management and Overlay Capabilities for Managed Accounts
SEI has announced a major expansion of its tax management and overlay capabilities for separately managed accounts (SMAs) and unified managed accounts (UMAs), introducing new tools designed to help advisors deliver more customized, tax-efficient outcomes for clients.
The upgraded capabilities integrate tax considerations across the entire wealth management lifecycle—from transition analysis and portfolio design to implementation, management, and client reporting. Advisors can now take advantage of advanced features such as tax-transition planning, capital gains budgeting, coordinated overlay management, automated tax-loss harvesting, and detailed tax reporting, all within SEI’s unified platform.
“Taxes are the biggest drag on investor returns, and for advisors, every dollar saved through optimization represents an opportunity to strengthen relationships and deliver measurable value,” said Erich Holland, Head of Client Experience for SEI’s Advisor business. “By proactively managing tax outcomes, advisors can help clients keep more of what they earn while simplifying their operations and driving organic growth.”
