Sanctuary Wealth Scoops Up $1B Merrill Team of Advisors
Registered investment advisor aggregator Sanctuary Wealth has added $1 billion Burnham Harbor Private Wealth, a Chicago-based Merrill Lynch advisory group.
The Burnham Harbor team includes managing partners James Corrigan, David Holtkamp, Sean Jucas and Kenneth Shay. Wealth associates Basel Alwawi and Cindy Hehr also join Sanctuary.
“While we knew we had outgrown the wirehouse, our team didn’t want to go out on our own. In Sanctuary, we found a partner that provides the right balance of support, freedom, flexibility, and optionality we were looking for in a new home,” said Corrigan.
Shay has worked in the securities business since 1966 and has also worked as an advisor for Morgan Stanley. He joined Merrill in 2007. Corrigan, Holtkamp and Lucas had been with Merrill for at least 16 years.
“Sanctuary was created to provide firms like Burnham Harbor the ability to confidently break away from wirehouses and enjoy the benefits of independence,” said Vince Fertitta, President, Wealth Management, Sanctuary Wealth.
In addition to operating its own RIA business, Sanctuary provides a platform for technology and operations. The Sanctuary network includes partner firms in 28 states with approximately $25 billion in assets under advisement.
