Sanctuary Wealth Appoints Envestnet’s Robert Coppola as CTO
Sanctuary Wealth announced the appointment of Robert Coppola as CTO. Coppola will report to CEO Adam Malamed and implement the next stage of Sanctuary’s technology strategy.
Before joining Sanctuary, Coppola was CTO of Envestnet, where he developed fintech that enabled W-2 employees to establish independent firms. His long tenure in the financial services industry includes technology leadership roles at Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters/Thomson Financial and S&P Global.
“The addition of Bob Coppola, a widely respected fintech leader in the wealth management space, to our leadership team, underscores our strategy to align best-in-class technology solutions and expertise with our partner firms to fuel their growth and success,” said Malamed.
Coppola will also oversee the technological aspects of the Sanctuary Difference, a program that offers advisors a wide range of hand-curated solutions, including a capital markets desk, alternatives platform, business consulting programs and other services for high-net-worth clients.
Sanctuary announced a significant deal earlier this month with the acquisition of tru Independence, a Portland, OR-based IRA platform that supports 30 RIA firms managing $12.5 billion in client assets.
