RIA MAI Capital Adds $551M in AUM in New Deal
MAI Capital Management has added a California-based registered investment advisor firm, which manages roughly $551 million in total client assets.
OG Private Wealth, founded in 2009, is led by brothers Ryan and Mike O’Donnell and offers financial planning, investment management, estate planning, and financial advisory services to over 300 client households.
Following the move, the duo will assume the role of market leaders at MAI Capital, the RIA stated.
With the addition of OG Private Wealth, MAI Capital has now expanded its footprint across Northern California, Los Angeles, and Miami.
“After building OG Private Wealth for more than 15 years, we wanted a partner that could help us grow while allowing us to stay true to the principles we believe in,” said Mike O’Donnell. “The families and founders we work with have needs that extend well beyond a traditional investment portfolio, and they expect advice and services that rise to meet that complexity.”
Specific terms of the transaction, which closed on August 14, were not disclosed.
The latest addition marks MAI Capital’s seventh transaction for the year, following its recent acquisition of Atlanta-based RIA Waypoint Wealth Counsel, which manages roughly $490 million in total client assets.
MAI Capital Management oversees $80.4 billion in total assets, including $73.8 billion under management and $6.6 billion under advisement as of June 30.
