Raymond James Adds $46B Clark Capital to Investment Management Platform
Raymond James has agreed to acquire Clark Capital Management Group, a Philadelphia-based investment manager overseeing more than $46 billion in discretionary and non-discretionary assets, further strengthening its global asset-management platform.
Founded in 1986 by Harry Clark, Clark Capital will retain its brand and operate as an independent boutique within Raymond James Investment Management, the firm’s multi-boutique asset-management division. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026.
Clark Capital is known for its wealth-focused investment solutions, including custom multi-asset portfolios, proprietary model strategies, and ’40-Act mutual funds designed for financial advisors and their clients. The firm’s advisor-centric approach aligns closely with Raymond James’ broader strategy of pairing independent investment teams with scalable distribution, operational, and business support.
“The acquisition underscores our commitment to building a leading global asset manager that delivers a broad range of innovative investment solutions,” said Scott Curtis, chief operating officer at Raymond James. “Within our multi-boutique structure, Clark Capital is well positioned for accelerated growth, while enhancing the resources we provide to advisors and clients.”
Raymond James Investment Management’s platform currently includes Chartwell Investment Partners, ClariVest Asset Management, Cougar Global Investments, Eagle Asset Management, Reams Asset Management, and Scout Investments.
“Raymond James Investment Management’s culture, strategic vision, and client-first, advisor-centric approach closely mirror our own,” said Brendan Clark, CEO of Clark Capital. “Their resources will allow us to enhance the advisor and client experience while preserving the brand, values, and service model that have defined Clark Capital since day one.”
