Quinbrook Infrastructure Closes $3B Net Zero Power Fund

Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners closed on $3 billion for its Net Zero Power Fund (NZPF) and co-investment vehicles. This is the third fund close for the firm this past year, bringing its total capital raised to over $4.3 billion.

NZPF invests in large-scale solar and storage, sustainable data center infrastructure, renewable fuels, synchronous condensers and contracted battery storage in strategic locations, the firm noted. Over half of the fund’s capital has already been invested or committed. The firm expects to be fully committed within the next 12 months.

“This successful closing – Quinbrook’s largest to date – is a demonstration of the confidence our investors have in our differentiated investment strategies around project development, asset creation and business platform growth coupled with active asset management,” said David Scaysbrook, Quinbrook’s co-founder and managing partner.

Notable investments already made by the NZPF include California-based Primergy Solar, Colorado-based Rowan Digital Infrastructure, Australia-based The Supernode Storage Project, New Hampshire-based Purpose Energy, and UK-based Project Severn.

In April, the firm closed on $600 million for the Quinbrook Valley of Fire Fund, with commitments from U.S. and European institutional investors and led by Blackstone Strategic Partners. Last October, it closed the oversubscribed £620 million Quinbrook Renewables Impact Fund.

Since its inception in 2015, Quinbrook has invested around $5.6 billion in energy infrastructure assets, which are currently valued at $48.3 billion. The London-based firm maintains a prominent position in the advancement and construction of large-scale renewable energy and storage infrastructure projects in the U.K., U.S., and Australia.
