Prime Capital Investment Advisors Acquires $1.75B Liberty Wealth Advisors
Prime Capital Investment Advisors (PCIA) has acquired Liberty Wealth Advisors, a $1.75bn registered investment advisory firm, making it PCIA’s tenth acquisition of the year.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction closed on December 9.
The deciding factor for PCIA was Liberty’s remote network of employees. “To that end, Liberty Wealth has developed a notable remote service offering that enables them to deliver comprehensive wealth planning to clients across the country,” said Glenn Spencer, CEO of PCIA.
Five advisors who manage the assets of 725 clients will join PCIA.
Liberty Wealth is led by its founder and chief executive James Gladney, a seasoned private equity investor and venture capitalist based in Naples, Fla.
The Overland Park, Kan.-based advisory firm made two substantial deals in June, adding more than $1bn in assets, by acquiring Crossvault Capital Management, an RIA with $440mn in assets and Burns Estate Planning and Wealth Advisors, with roughly $600mn in assets under management.
Last week, PCIA bought Professional Financial Services, adding $185 million in assets.
Park Sutton Advisors, A Waller Helms Company, served as the exclusive financial advisor to Liberty Wealth Advisors on the transaction.
