- Frank van Etten has been tapped as SVP and chief strategic initiatives officer at Janney Montgomery Scott. In the newly created role, Etten will report to CEO Anthony Miller and will join the firm’s Executive Leadership team. Additionally, he will help develop strategic initiatives across the firm. Prior to joining Janney, Etten served as partner and head of Financial Services at AlixPartners.
- Tom Williams has been named CIO of Willow Wealth, a retail private markets investment platform. Williams will oversee the platform’s investment strategy and product development and will report to CEO Mitchell Caplan. Prior to joining Willow Wealth, Williams served in Morgan Stanley’s Outsourced Chief Investment Office.
- Nathan Shetty has been appointed as CIO at SEI. Shetty will lead SEI’s investment organization and help boost the firm’s asset management strategy across research, portfolio management, operations, and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining SEI, Shetty most recently served as senior managing director and head of Multi‑Asset at Nuveen Asset Management and served on Nuveen’s Global Investment Committee. He also held senior roles at UBS Global Asset Management, Mesirow Financial, Mountain Pacific Group, and Pareto Partners.
- Financial advisors Rex Mack, Patrick Petsche, Vincenzo “Vince” Costanzo, and Anthony Costanzo have joined Dynasty Financial-backed DayMark Wealth Partners and were previously affiliated with Morgan Stanley, where they managed about $820M in total assets. The team specializes in multigenerational wealth management planning that addresses family dynamics and legacy goals and is based in DayMark’s office in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
- Trey Loughran has been tapped as CEO of ACA Group, a governance, risk, and compliance solutions provider. Loughran succeeds Patrick Olson, who has transitioned to the role of vice chairman. Additionally, Loughran has joined the firm’s Board of Directors as a member. Prior to joining ACA, Loughran most recently served as CEO of Purchasing Power, a private equity-backed financial services platform.
- Kristen Kimmell has rejoined RBC Wealth Management as the firm’s West Divisional director. Kimmell becomes the first woman at the firm to hold the position and will assume her role on June 15. Before rejoining RBC, Kimmell most recently served as EVP of Business Development at Osaic Wealth.
- Dave Buscaglia has joined Houlihan Lokey as a managing director in the firm’s Business Services Group. Buscaglia will cover the specialty consulting and risk services sectors and will be based in the firm’s New York office. Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Buscaglia was a managing director in Stifel’s Business Services Group.
- Nancy DeRusso has been named head of Client Solutions at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. DeRusso will be responsible for providing senior leadership across Guardian’s protection and wealth strategy, with a focus on strengthening the advisor and client experience. Before joining Guardian, DeRusso most recently served as head of Financial Planning, Financial Wellness, and SurvivorSupport at Goldman Sachs Ayco.
- Financial advisor Jake Fetchen has joined RIA Ballast Rock Private Wealth as a wealth advisor. Prior to joining BRPW, Fetchen most recently served as an associate at Austin-based 49 Financial and held positions in wealth management where he focused on portfolio construction, financial planning analysis, and client relationship management.
- Financial advisor Sean Spencer has joined Prime Capital Financial through its acquisition of Access Capital. Spencer advises business owners, individuals, and families on business succession, estate and tax planning, and charitable strategies. Before joining Prime Capital Financial, Spencer previously served as the VP at IMA Wealth.
- Mark Ostroff has joined Cresset Asset Management as a managing director and wealth advisor. Ostroff will be focusing on cultivating advisory relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, entrepreneurs, and privately held business owners and will be based in Cresset’s New York office. Prior to joining Cresset Asset Management, Ostroff served as managing director of Evoke Advisors.
- George Burnette has joined RIA Callan Family Office as director of Philanthropic Consulting & Wealth. Burnette will advise individuals, families, and family enterprises on the relationship between philanthropy, wealth strategy, and long-term legacy planning. He will also work closely with nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining Callan Family Office, Burnette previously served as VP and Philanthropic strategist at First Citizens Bank & Trust.
- Lincoln Financial has made three senior promotions to its Senior Management Committee. Darrel Tedrow has been named EVP and president of Life Insurance and Retail Shared Services, Curtis Chesney as EVP and president of Annuities, and Paul Spurr as EVP, chief risk officer, and chief actuary. Tedrow will continue to lead the Life business while also assuming executive oversight of operations and shared services functions that support the company’s Retail businesses. Curtis Chesney previously led Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis across all of Lincoln’s business segments. In his new role, Chesney will lead the business through its continued diversification toward more “spread-based” products. Spurr will be responsible for advancing Lincoln’s risk management framework, overseeing the company’s risk profile, and ensuring risk considerations are embedded in capital allocation, product strategy, and business planning. All three will report to CEO, president, and chairman Ellen Cooper.
- SoFi, a fintech platform, has launched SoFi Coach, an AI-powered chat within the SoFi mobile application that helps users track, budget, save, and invest. As the tool grows, SoFi plans to introduce new features, including subscription management, expense tracking, and cancellation tools. The feature is currently available to SoFi Plus members.
- LPL Financial has added Prescott, AZ-based Schott Financial Management to its broker-dealer and registered investment advisor platform. The firm, which is led by CEO Steve Schott, was previously affiliated with Cambridge Investment, where he oversaw $240M in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets. Schott Financial Management provides wealth management services to high-net-worth clients, including pre-retirees and retirees. Schott Financial Management is supported by Laura De La Huerta and Jessee Porter.
- RIA Savant Wealth Management has partnered with Albuquerque, NM-based Meridian Wealth Advisors and Meridian Tax Advisors, a separate entity owned by principal Scott Floersheim. Meridian Wealth Advisors, founded in 2006, provides wealth management services, including financial planning. Following the partnership, Floersheim has joined Savant as a member-owner.
- FMG, a marketing technology platform, has launched its marketing intelligence system, an internal AI-powered platform that provides FMG teams access to approved sales materials, customer proof points, product information, and campaign assets. The system has already been implemented across FMG’s sales and marketing teams.
- Reichmann Segal Capital Partners has launched Metatron Private Equity, a new investment platform that is focused on making investments in businesses with operational foundations and long-term growth potential across North America. In conjunction with its launch, Metatron has acquired Silicon Valley-based Green Circuits, an electronics manufacturing services provider, from Wallace, TX-based Evolve Capital, a private equity firm. This marks Reichmann Segal Capital Partners’ third platform investment, their second in the EMS sector, and the first acquisition under Metatron. All of Reichmann Segal’s investments have now been moved under Metatron, which will serve as their primary investment vehicle.
- IRA Financial, a retirement solutions provider, has rolled out the newest version of its crypto investing platform. The upgraded capabilities allow clients to integrate full alternative and traditional asset access with crypto trading across nearly 100 tradable tokens, with an annual fee of $100. Additionally, clients can now track crypto portfolio performance over time through an integrated portfolio value graph, view candlestick charts for individual tokens, and access order history and transfers.
- Interactive Brokers has launched agentic trading through direct integration with Claude, an AI-backed platform. Through the integration, clients will be able to manage their accounts and access over 170 global markets. Additionally, clients can link their existing IBKR account through the Claude certified connector marketplace. Interactive Brokers aims to roll out the integration across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok.
- Climate-focused VC investor Gigascale Capital has launched its latest fund, the Gigascale Capital Fund I, a new $250M fund targeting early-stage companies that are “rebuilding the physical economy for climate impact.” The new fund expects to use its capital to scale core investment strategy opportunities with plans to “support founders from first check through scaled deployment.”
- Huntington Beach, CA-based Mach Industries, a defense manufacturer, has raised $300M for its Series C funding. The funding round was led by Infinite Capital and Ribbit Capital, valuing the company at $1.8B. The capital will go towards accelerating the execution of existing government contracts, talent acquisition, product development, and the expansion of Forge, the company’s manufacturing network and Mach Propulsion, and deepening partnerships with U.S. Department of War customers, including the Army, Air Force, and SOCOM.
- Greenwich, CT-based Wingman Growth Partners, an investment firm, has raised $215M in the closing round for its Wingman Growth Partners Fund I, exceeding its targeted goal of $150M for the inaugural fund. The firm plans to use the capital to financially support small data and fintech companies across the sector. Wingman’s model is designed to support portfolio companies through initiatives across go-to-market execution, product development, pricing optimization, talent management, and mergers and acquisitions.
