  • William MacGregor has been tapped as deputy general counsel of American Beacon Partners. MacGregor, who brings over two decades of industry experience to the firm, has extensive experience advising registered investment funds, independent trustees, interval and tender offer funds, investment advisers, and alternative investment products. Prior to joining American Beacon, MacGregor was a partner in the Investment Management group at Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP. 
  • Tamara Stelting has been named executive consultant for The Arch’s Anvil, a consulting and growth firm for independent RIAs. Prior to joining the firm, Stelting served in several C-suite positions for various RIAs. 
  • Financial advisors John Bizjack and Brian Bizjack have joined LPL Financial’s broker-dealer and RIA platform. The duo is aligned with Ascendus Financial Advisors, an existing firm for LPL-affiliated advisors. Prior to joining LPL, the advisors were previously affiliated with Morgan Stanley, where they oversaw $145M in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets. Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Bizjacks operate a family-owned practice and provide wealth management services to high-net-worth clients, including pre-retirees, retirees, and families. 
  • Sebastian Pulido has joined Grayscale, a cryptocurrency asset manager, as head of Onchain Asset Management and managing director. In the newly created role, Pulido will be responsible for leading the development of products and strategies for onchain investment solutions. He will be reporting to Steve Vanourny, Grayscale’s head of Index. Before joining Grayscale, Pulido most recently served as director of Institutional & DeFi Business at Aave Labs. Pulido also held leadership roles at JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs. 
  • Robert Rizzo has joined McDermott Will & Schulte as the global co-Head of the Private Equity Group. Prior to joining the firm, Rizzo most recently served as a partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. He will be based at McDermott’s office in New York. 
  • Karim Bousta has joined Athena Capital, an investment platform, as an investment partner, and Francesca Cornelli has joined the Athena Council of operating partners. Bousta is the co-founder and managing partner of DVx Ventures, and Cornelli serves as Dean of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Matan Pier has also joined Athena Capital as an associate. 
  • Laurence Jankelowas has been appointed chief growth officer of BiggerPockets, a real estate investment platform. Jankelowas will lead the platform’s growth strategy, product innovation, and member engagement. Jankelowas, who has been a BiggerPockets member for 15 years, co-founded property management software company Avail before it was acquired by Realtor.com in 2020. 
  • Financial advisor Alan Feutz has joined Genesis Wealth, LPL Financial’s aligned wealth management firm, through LPL’s broker-dealer and RIA platform. Prior to joining LPL, Feutz was affiliated with JP Morgan, where he managed about $725M in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets. Feutz and his practice provide wealth management services, including retirement planning, tax-aware strategies, legacy planning, and multigenerational wealth planning. 
  • Houston-based Pelican Energy Partners has acquired Riggins Company, a metals fabrication and custom provider. Hampton, VA-based Riggins was founded in 1960 and offers capabilities in custom metal fabrication and weldments, specialty welding, engineering and design, turnkey project management, and field installation services. 
  • Sebring, FL-based Johnson Stivender Wealth Advisors, has joined Ameriprise Financial from Raymond James Financial Services, where the team managed over $270M in total client assets. The practice is led by private wealth advisors Dusty JohnsonCraig Johnson, and Travis Stivender, and includes operations manager Michele Bednosky and client relationship specialist Kristin Johnson. The practice is supported locally by Ameriprise franchise field VP Sabrina Sabate and Ameriprise regional VP Michael Barker
  • Private equity firm Clearlake Capital Group has partnered with Databricks and West Monroe, a technology consulting firm, to bolster Clearlake’s portfolio companies’ adoption across data, analytics, and AI. As part of the collaboration, Clearlake also will incorporate Databricks’ capabilities for portfolio companies through its Clearlake AI Labs initiative. 
  • Vanilla, an estate planning platform for financial advisors, has launched Vanilla Concierge. The offering provides its Abstraction Services, a document abstraction service that functions as Vanilla’s in-house team. The platform is available to all Vanilla subscribers as an added service. 
  • Leon Capital Group subsidiary Leon Financial Network has partnered with New York-based RIA Tocqueville Asset Management. Through the partnership, Leon Financial Network will provide Tocqueville with access to its capabilities and capital. Leon Financial Network partners with asset managers and independent RIAs managing between $250M and $20B in assets to provide debt and equity capital. 
  • San Diego-based Measurabl, an ESG platform, has added six new service providers to its Measurabl Partner Network as Partners. New members of the Partner Network are Black Bear EnergyNova Group GBCRE Tech AdvisorsSIG, Sodali & Co., and Verdani Partners. The Partner Network leverages Measurabl’s software to supplement their own offerings, gain access to product integrations, reporting and compliance, and climate-related transition and physical risk exposure. 
  • Asset manager Columbia Threadneedle Investments has launched two new actively managed ETFs. The new funds, the Columbia Research Enhanced Core Premium Income ETF and the Columbia High Dividend Premium Income ETF, are the firm’s first offerings in the derivative income ETF category. Both ETFs intend to generate monthly income through option premiums and stock dividends and aim to provide high income with reduced volatility compared to traditional equity exposures. The options overlay for both RECI and CDPI is managed by Brian Virginia and Corey Lorenzen. RECI’s underlying portfolio is managed by Christopher LoHenry Hom, and Jason Wang, and CDPI’s underlying portfolio is managed by the Dividend Opportunity team of Grace LeeDavid King, and Yan Jin
  • FinTurk, a CRM platform, has launched two new automation tools, FormFiller and CashSweep, which are designed to simplify documentation and cash management for RIAs. Built directly on FinTurk’s native AI platform, the capabilities streamline clients’ information and help firms reduce errors, minimize submissions, and accelerate client onboarding. 
  • GoldenTree Asset Management has raised $2.75B for its second private credit fund. The fund targets larger companies exceeding $400M before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. So far, Private Credit Fund II has deployed nearly 40% of its capital across roughly 50 investments in more than 10 industries. The oversubscribed fund gains its commitments from institutional and private wealth investors across the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. 
  • Swiss-based Pictet Alternative Advisors, a private equity firm, has raised $253M in the closing round for Environment Co-Investment Fund I, exceeding its targeted goal of $200M. The fund will invest in private equity managers, with a focus on environmental challenges. The fund also targets companies with an emphasis on greenhouse gas reduction, pollution control, circular economy, sustainable consumer, and enabling technologies. The fund has deployed 50% of its capital across eight transactions. 
  • Sagard, an alternative asset management firm, has raised $1B in the closing round for its Sagard Credit Partners III. The fund focuses on non-sponsored borrowers in the credit market segment. SCP III is the third vintage in the series and follows SCP II, which raised $1.17B in June 2022. Additionally, SCP III has deployed $135M across three investments. 
  • Citation Capital, a private equity firm, has raised $1.1B in the closing round for Citation Fund I. The capital raised will go towards investing in middle-market businesses, industrials, and consumer sectors across North America. Citation Capital now manages $2.1B in assets under management.
