Pantheon Expands iCapital Partnership to Deliver Global Credit Secondaries via Evergreen Vehicles

Pantheon is deepening its collaboration with iCapital to make its global credit secondaries strategies available through evergreen private market vehicles, broadening access for wealth managers in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. The London-based asset manager, which oversees about $71 billion in discretionary assets across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and real assets, will leverage iCapital’s technology and structuring platform to streamline distribution.

The expanded partnership, first launched in 2017, builds on earlier initiatives that began with feeders into closed-end U.S. funds and has since evolved to include Pantheon’s evergreen strategies globally, including its first open-ended private equity fund outside the U.S.

Victor Mayer, head of international private wealth at Pantheon, called the expansion a “significant milestone” in the firm’s mission to broaden investor access to institutional-quality private markets strategies. Marco Bizzozero, head of international at iCapital, added that the initiative would support “efficient distribution for asset managers and seamless access for wealth managers seeking broader portfolio diversification and enhanced financial outcomes.”

The move comes on the heels of the successful close of Pantheon Credit Opportunities III (PCO III) last month, which raised $2.2 billion—more than 2.5x its initial target. Part of Pantheon’s integrated private credit secondaries platform, the fund invests across diversified secondary portfolios of senior, junior, asset-backed, and opportunistic credit managed by leading private credit firms.
