OneVest Launches AI-Powered Account Opening for Canadian Wealth Firms
OneVest has launched an AI-powered account-opening system for Canadian wealth management firms that it says can coordinate client onboarding from initial intake through account funding.
The system draws on existing documents, advisor notes and customer relationship management data to prepare applications without re-entering information. Advisors and operations staff can also dictate account details. Before submission, the software checks applications for missing or inconsistent information, then tracks account numbers and processing updates from custodians. Staff receive prompts when an issue needs attention.
OneVest said the product connects with National Bank Independent Network, Aviso Wealth and CI Investment Services, with more custodial integrations in development. It is available to the company’s Canadian financial institution, wealth enterprise and advisor clients.
The launch puts AI into a process that often requires advisors and operations teams to move information among forms, internal systems and custodians. OneVest describes the product as an agentic system because it advances multiple steps in that workflow, rather than only generating text or answering questions.
The company said wealth management professionals retain visibility and control. Actions taken by the AI system are recorded in OneVest Pulse, an activity feed intended to give advisors, operations teams and compliance staff a record of each onboarding milestone. Status notifications can also appear in Slack and Microsoft Teams.
“Account opening has long been one of the biggest operational bottlenecks for wealth management firms,” OneVest CEO Amar Ahluwalia said.
OneVest is backed by Salesforce Ventures, Deloitte Ventures, TIAA Ventures, Allianz Ventures, and OMERS Ventures.
