Novacap Invests in TAG Towers to Accelerate U.S. Wireless Infrastructure Expansion
Private equity firm Novacap has made a strategic investment in TAG Towers, a Kentucky-based developer and operator of wireless tower infrastructure, marking the fifth platform investment by Novacap’s Digital Infrastructure sector. The partnership will enable TAG to accelerate its expansion and strengthen its position as a key provider of wireless infrastructure in the United States.
Founded in 2008, TAG Towers has built a strong presence across the U.S. Midwest, developing and operating high-quality tower assets that support the growing needs of mobile network operators and 5G deployment.
“TAG’s strong execution track record makes them a natural fit for our digital infrastructure portfolio. We’re proud to support their next phase of growth as demand for wireless infrastructure continues to surge,” said Ted Mocarski, Senior Partner and Head of Digital Infrastructure at Novacap.
“With Novacap’s backing and expertise, we can effectively scale our operations and continue delivering high-quality wireless tower assets to support America’s 5G future,” added David Ginter, Co-Founder and President of TAG Towers.
Fasken Martineau Dumoulin LLP served as legal advisor to Novacap. SteelTree Partners, LLC acted as financial advisor to TAG Towers, with Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP serving as its legal counsel.
