Morgan Stanley Team Managing $465M Move to Raymond James
Two financial advisors, Jefferey Biederman Jr. and Andrew Burns, have recently left Morgan Stanley to join Raymond James’ employee channel in West Virginia. The pair, who managed $465 million in client assets at the wirehouse, brought their team along, including practice business manager Kelsey Patterson and client associate Taylor Sherwood.
Now operating as Biederman Burns Wealth Management of Raymond James, the team is based in Huntington, WV. They are part of Raymond James & Associates’ Huntington branch, led by branch manager Paul Jacobson and overseen by central regional director Amy Smart. The team focuses on business owners, corporate retirement plans, families, and individuals in or nearing retirement.
“In addition to the firm’s steadfast focus on the advisor-client relationship, its leadership, stability and reputation give us confidence in our ability to service our clients in the most effective and personalized manner,” Biederman said.
A 27-year industry veteran, Biederman began his career in 1997 at Montgomery Securities. Later that year, he joined Smith Barney, which eventually became part of Morgan Stanley, where he remained until this move. Burns started his career at Morgan Stanley in 2016, according to his BrokerCheck report.
