Mercer Raises Over $3.8B for Latest Multi-Asset Private Markets Fund
Mercer has closed fundraising for Mercer Private Investment Partners VIII (PIP VIII), securing more than $3.8 billion in capital commitments from a global base of institutional and wealth investors.
The strategy is designed to provide diversified exposure across private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real estate through a single fund structure. PIP VIII includes both a U.S. onshore vehicle and a Luxembourg-based offshore vehicle, allowing access for domestic and international investors.
The fund invests across primary commitments, co-investments, secondary opportunities and other specialized strategies, offering broad access to private markets while maintaining portfolio flexibility.
“We designed our PIP series to provide simplified access to compelling opportunities across private asset classes and structures while helping investors maintain control over their risk profile and asset allocation – overlaid with a total portfolio risk management approach,” said Niall O’Sullivan.
The capital raise attracted commitments from wealth managers, endowments and foundations, insurers and pension funds. The fund also saw strong re-up participation from existing investors, alongside new commitments from investors across the U.K., Europe and the U.S.
