
Mercer Advisors Adds to Its List of RIA Firms, Acquires Michigan-based Vintage Financial Services
Mercer Advisors Inc., a registered investment adviser backed by private equity firms Oak Hill Capital and Genstar Capital, has acquired Vintage Financial Services, LLC, a wealth management firm, for an undisclosed amount.
Founded by Frank Moore in 1985, the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Vintage currently advises more than 500 clients with over $850mn in assets under management.
The latest acquisition is the third deal by Mercer Advisors in Michigan since 2016.
The company’s Michigan team, including Vintage employees, currently handles more than $2.7bn assets on behalf of 2,400 clients.
Mercer Advisors CEO Dave Welling said: “The business combination between Mercer Advisors and Vintage is a perfect fit with both firms anchoring on financial planning.”
This is Mercer’s 17th wealth management firm acquisition this year, and the 6th since September. Last week, Mercer purchased Regis Management Company, a wealth management firm with $5bn in assets.
Established in 1985, Mercer Advisors has more than $37bn in assets under management.
