Maridea Wealth Management Acquires $217M Practice in Pennsylvania
Maridea Wealth Management has added a Pennsylvania-based wealth management practice, establishing the firm’s presence in the state.
New Britain, PA-based Pultro Financial Management, founded in 1987, is led by CEO and founder Michael Pultro. The firm provides financial planning, investment management, and retirement planning, with a specialized focus on behavioral finance strategies.
The family-led practice also includes financial advisor Brian Pultro, who is Michael’s nephew, and is supported by client service manager Donna Mannas and office manager Stephanie Gillard, per the firm’s website.
The transaction marks Maridea’s first practice in Pennsylvania and continues the firm’s strategy of partnering with entrepreneurial advisors who share its commitment to client-first service and disciplined investment management.
As part of the transaction, Michael and Brian have joined Maridea as senior investment advisors, Maridea stated.
Additionally, Pultro Financial Management will gain access to Maridea’s proprietary tax services, investment research capabilities, and broader planning infrastructure.
Prior to the firm’s transition to Maridea, Pultro Financial Management was affiliated with LPL Financial for its securities and brokerage support.
The elder Pultro was registered with LPL from 2009 until this year, and the youngest Pultro has been registered with the broker-dealer since 2016, according to their BrokerCheck profiles.
“We’ve spent four decades helping clients make sound decisions, especially when emotions run high,” the elder Pultro said. “Partnering with Maridea lets us bring more resources to that work without changing the relationships at the center of it.”
Pultro Financial marks Maridea’s fifth transaction for the year, following its acquisition of Chicago-based The Park Ridge Financial.
Last May, Maridea sold a stake to private equity firms 119th Street Capital and Pelican Capital to fuel acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and national expansion.
New York City-based Maridea Wealth Management, founded in 2023, oversees over $1.8 billion in assets under management, serving over 50 financial professionals.
