Mackenzie and Northleaf Launch Multi-Asset Private Markets Fund for Canadian Investors

Mackenzie Investments and Northleaf Capital Partners have announced the launch of the Mackenzie Northleaf Multi-Asset Private Markets Fund, a new investment solution designed to provide accredited Canadian investors with actively managed exposure to a diversified mix of mid-market private equity, private credit, and infrastructure opportunities. The fund will maintain a target allocation of 60% growth-oriented and 40% income-oriented investments, aiming to enhance portfolio diversification and long-term risk-adjusted returns.

“With notable and continued growth expected across private markets, the Mackenzie Northleaf Multi-Asset Private Markets Fund is a solution for investors seeking to access these asset classes through a single, professionally managed vehicle,” said Kristi Ashcroft, Executive Vice President, Products & Solutions at Mackenzie Investments.

“This unique fund provides individual Canadian investors with access to Northleaf’s global institutional platform and the team’s proven record of generating strong, risk-adjusted returns through high-quality private equity, private credit, and infrastructure investments,” added Nadim Vasanji, Managing Director at Northleaf Capital Partners.

The launch builds on a strategic partnership established in 2020 between Mackenzie and Northleaf, which has since produced five innovative private-market funds that broaden access for Canadian advisors and investors to institutional-grade alternative strategies.

As of September 30, 2025, Mackenzie Investments managed approximately $239 billion in assets across public and private markets. Northleaf Capital Partners, a global private markets investment firm, has raised over $30 billion in commitments across its private equity, private credit, and infrastructure platforms.
