LPL Lures Another Ex-Wells FiNet Team to Independence Channel
LPL Financial LLC has added 4Point Wealth Management, a $375 million Davidson, NC-based advisory team, to its independence model, LPL Strategic Wealth Services. Advisors Christina McConnell, Laura Long, and Jay Tillman join LPL from Wells Fargo Financial Advisors Network (FiNet).
With over 50 years of experience, 4Point Wealth Management, which went independent in 2021, specializes in retirement planning, asset allocation analysis, executive compensation and goals-based financial planning. They are supported by client services manager Randi Derene.
“Remaining true to our core principles, we decided it was time to evolve as a team and create a more ideal environment where we have true independence, supported by a partner who shares our values and client-first mentality,” Long said.
Advisors affiliated with LPL through Strategic Wealth Services are 1099 independent contractors, but they receive help from LPL’s main office in areas including technology, pricing, human resources, and marketing.
Last week, LPL announced that Harbor Lights Financial Group, a Manasquan, NJ-based high-net-worth team that controlled $535 million at Wells Fargo’s independent channel, FiNet, returned to the broker-dealer, RIA, and custodial platforms after an eight-year absence.
LPL serves over 23,000 financial advisors, including advisors at roughly 1,000 institutions and at approximately 580 registered investment advisor firms nationwide.
